When the Dog Bites, or the Bee Stings

I love old movies and television shows.  Growing up my favorite television show was I Love Lucy, and to this day I have an unhealthy love of The Sound of Music (also Sister Act and Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit but that's beyond the point for this blog post).

I don't know, perhaps it's nostalgia or perhaps I'm sick and tired of my life falling down around me, but I have found solace in these old movies and shows.  Especially the music from The Sound of Music (also the nuns, but again, not relevant to this post; what is it with me and nuns!?!).

I love Julie Andrews' rendition of "Favorite Things" and you should listen to it and watch the clip.

There, now don't you feel better? Good, me too.  Anyway, rather than focusing on all the things I don't like right now (and trust me, it is a rather extensive list), I want to share a few of my favorite things.  Because, just like the song says, when I think about them, life isn't as bad as I often believe.

So, in no particular order, here are a few of my favorite things; hit it Julie (and please, share some of your favorite things in the comments, too!):

    1. I know, right? I don't know where the nuns thing came from. I have a love/fear relationship with them.

    2. Also, the New Normal is pretty 'meh' but I love what they're trying to do so I support them/it.
